NATIONAL ASSOCIACTION OF REALTORS
AMPI recently signed an agreement with NAR to work together closely in the future. At a national level both in the U.S. and Mexico you will see AMPI/NAR events.  Mexico is the only country with which NAR has signed this type of agreement.  As an associate of AMPI, you are a “Realtor International” Member of NAR.

EDUCATION
In the past 9 months AMPI has provided classes on Revised Tax Laws (the course was also offered in English), Buying Options for Foreigners, and Understanding Real Estate Taxes.  Guest speakers at those mini-seminars included the directors of Urban Development from this area and the neighboring Municipality headquarterd in Chetumal.  Next month we are touring the southern part of the state at the invitaion of the municipal president.  Included in the agenda are meetings with the head of the State Urban Development Dept. and State Tourism officials.

NETWORKING INTERNATIONALLY
Our goal is to continue to increase the network of agents with whom we work - nationally and abroad to bring more investors to the area.  In April we brought a group of NAR agents to tour the Riviera Maya and the Costa Maya with our members as part of the Transnational  Referral Sytem.  Those agents left here not only with an understanding of the products and the development of the area, but also with a knowledge of the level of professionalism of AMPIRM members.

NETWORKING LOCALLY  
As a member of AMPIRM you will enconunter new opportunities for doing business.  Several weeks ago, an AMPI agent from Cancún called looking for property.  She was referred to an agent who had just been been accepted into AMPIRM.  Today, here is a possibility that they could soon close a sale.  This connection of agents created because there is an increased level of trust between AMPI agents.

CONSUMER CONFIDENCE
We practice what we preach. Ethics, Honetsy, Trust. That is what an AMPI Agent provides to it’s clients. Our internal rules for good conduct and our code of ethics are what we preach, review, and enforce.
